Maldives Breakout Festival is an annual music festival held in the Maldives. It has been running for the past two years as the proud, the first and the only international music festival in the Maldives Islands. Since the first event in 2008, this musical extravaganza has caught the eye of all the musicians and music lovers in the country. As the event is the result of the preceding competitions held across UK, Europe and Asia where the hunt for the best bands runs through out the year from April to December, the Maldives Breakout Festival takes place in the capital of Maldives, Malé.
This platform is specially designed for the up and coming, hard working musicians who wants a shot at glory by performing for some of the British music industry’s executives who travel for the festival. MBF is a non stop struggle by the MBF team to create a path to open a proper music industry or to help the infant industry which exists in the Maldives. With our partners in UK ( Jar Music Group), conducting the competitions in UK and Europe and Two Company running the heats in the Maldives, MBF has proudly written the success story of a musical giant in the history of Maldivian Music.
MBF 2010 is confirmed to to be held on December 09th 2010 at the Alimas Ufaa Stage in Malé.
